This course builds upon User Experience I and will teach you how to build effective user experiences through a rigorous process of implementing best practices, testing designs, and iterating. You will also cover topics such as branding, color palettes, user journeys, and designing for multiple platforms. By the end of this course, you will be able to build a mobile app or website prototype and iterate upon it based on user feedback.

Why are websites and technology laid out in a particular way? Students will learn how to ensure that they are designing products that fit in with existing trends.
No element of a user interface exists in vacuum. Students will study how the various user-facing elements of a product combine to produce a holistic journey.
The color choices that are made when designing an interface affect more than aesthetics. Students will learn how choice and use of color help drive users to take desired actions.
Smartphone adoption has far outpaced traditional computers. Students will learn the key principles of mobile user experience and learn how it is similar to, and different from, a more traditional web experience.
How do you know if your user experience is appropriate to your audience? How do you know if you’ve designed a successful user experience? How do you improve your user experience? Students will learn how to answer these questions by doing customer research and prototype testing.
This course is delivered online through an institution of the Lower Cost Models Consortium (LCMC) that is different than your degree-granting institution that awards the academic credit for the course.
